ADVANCED SIP Trunking- Walkthrough to establishing a SIP account




-This article is NOT applicable to BASIC SIP Trunking.

1- Before creating a Client, you need to create a Charging Plan to allocate to that client. This Charge Plan are your Calling Packages. This is done by clicking on the 'Charge Plan' icon on the left nav bar.

2- Next you create exceptions for this CLIENT CHARGE PLAN.

ONLY the clients Charge Plan will have 'Fixed Exceptions' to its charge plan.

3- Create the Client

4- After creating your CLIENT and allocating a charging plan to him, you need to add extensions/lines.
HOWEVER BEFORE YOU DO THAT!:
You need to create a Charge Plan for Extension => Client.  And since the client provides its staff/lines calls at no charge,
you need to create a ZERO COST EXTENSION PLAN!

CHARGING PLAN NOTES:
You have to create 2 Charging Plans.
1- You to the client=> need to enter costing with cost exceptions, so you're fixing your selling price and profit.
2- Client to Extension/line=> This extension is at ZERO cost, UNLIMITED POSTPAID, and NO exceptions. If you add any costing here, it means that the CLIENT is making a profit per call from his staff (callers).

AIRTIME NOTES:
When adding Airtime, if the YOU TO CLIENT PLAN is Pre-Paid, then click on CHARGE CREDITS in the CLIENT's screen and enter your credit sold to him EXCLUDING VAT

If the CLIENT has been allocated a Post Paid account with a limit, once he reaches his limit, you CAN enter more airtime credits by clicking on Charging Limits at CLIENT screen.
